Budding Talents of Bala Mandir Vidyalaya

I joined this institution in September 2023.  Since then I have had very interesting experiences. I would like to share one of these. A Science Exhibition was organised by Sathyamurthi School on 16^th March, 2024. A few students of Vidyalaya participated in it. With the help of teachers and parents, they made working models. We were a little apprehensive as the theme of the exhibition was ‘Cosmic Connections’ and felt that they may find it a little difficult to explain the concepts.

The topics they chose were Black Hole, Milky Way and Geostationary Satellite. Most of them were participants in BM anniversary cultural programme and so we could give them only a short notice for the preparation. To our great surprise, they were so fluent in explaining the models. The parent volunteers also extended their cooperation to the maximum. The students were even able to answer the questions put forth by the audience.

The highlight of the programme was the participation of Vedanth Sriram, a student with learning support. He presented a working model of the solar system, and he was able to explain it so well. He was well appreciated by the staff and visitors.

My learning out of this experience is that each student is a bundle of talent and unique in his own way. We should never underestimate them or doubt their potential.  An ounce of motivation, encouragement and handholding when in need would help them achieve great heights.
